Jakarta, May 16, 2025 — The Indonesian ESG Professional Association (IEPA) officially appointed its board members for the 2025–2028 term during an inauguration ceremony held at Prasmul Eli (Prasetiya Mulya Executive Learning Institute), South Jakarta. The event was attended by the association’s founders, Advisory Board, Expert Council, and over 650 active IEPA members representing various sectors including industry, government, and academia.
This inauguration marks a new chapter for IEPA as a professional association representing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practitioners and stakeholders in Indonesia. Evolving from an informal community, IEPA now operates as a formal organization with a strong mandate to promote cross-sector collaboration and strengthen the implementation of sustainability principles across the country
According to Herry Ginanjar, Chair of IEPA for the 2025–2028 period, IEPA serves as a collaborative platform uniting ESG professionals across sectors, including corporations, the public sector, academia, and media. “Sustainability cannot be achieved by relying solely on the government or large corporations. Cross-sector collaboration is essential, involving professionals with the right competence, commitment, and access to ESG best practices,” he stated.
As Transparency Disclosure, the Greenwise Consulting Partner will spearhead IEPA’s efforts in addressing one of the major ESG challenges in Indonesia. This strategic role becomes increasingly vital as more companies and institutions in Indonesia are expected to disclose ESG-related information transparently and reliably—to regulators, investors, and the public alike. This involvement aligns with Greenwise Consulting’s commitment to promoting transparent, sustainable, and impactful governance. Her appointment further solidifies Greenwise Consulting’s position as a key player in ESG transformation in Indonesia.
IEPA also emphasized the importance of transitioning from mere awareness of ESG to actual implementation and internalization. “Based on our internal observations, Indonesia is currently positioned between the awareness and implementation stages—at level 2.5 out of 4 on the ESG maturity scale,” said Herry during a media interview session.
In the near future, IEPA is set to host a major conference and grand launching event as part of its 2025–2028 roadmap this coming August. In his closing remarks at the inauguration, Herry Ginanjar stressed that this leadership appointment is not just symbolic, but a call to take real action. “Congratulations to all board members. Now it’s time to work hard,” he concluded before ending the session with a group photo.
